collections page help by bill

my apologies up front for not digging for another day, but i am under a very tight deadline.

when moving to the collections page to the home page, i want the collection page to present the following information:

left column (a list of available collections):

* women's shoes

* women's pants

* men's shoes

* men's pants

when clicking on one of the available collections, the main content area should display a list of products from that category with pic, title, desc and price.

formatting is not an issue; the problem is displaying the actual data (such as the list of collections).

i have perused this forum and the wiki for quite a while now, and i apologize that i have been unable to find the answer to this problem.

ps. if an image of the home page would help, please let me know and i will upload one.

It's not jumping as you describe -- for me at least -- in FF or Safari, Windows Vista.

Perhaps it's jumping for you to the left due to the size of the image you use on your About page. However, the size of that image is small enough to fit in its 'container'.

Image size here is 543px wide by 824px high.

The width of the container is 626px.

In both Safari and Firefox, when I click on the "about" tab, the body of the site jumps slightly to the left, then when I go to any other page it jumps back...

I have this same issue and have scoured this forum for an answer. It seems such an incredibly straightforward thing to do; so what am I missing???

Hi Stuart, I've made some modifications to fit my needs. This was based on the fact that I wanted the keyword:label:value to show up as "label: value" on one line with breaks after each set. Hope I'm not stepping on your toes by offering this variant.
