facebook sharer

Hi, I was browsing urbanoutfitters.com and noticed this kewl feature where I can share a product by posting it on my facebook newsfeed page. Does anyone know how or what they did to be able to use this kewl feature for marketing purposes? Timothy.

Looks like they are using the service from bazaarvoice.com

I think they give you some js you add to your page, plus some code to insert on where you want it to show, and then it does the rest.

I use a similar one (doesn’t do ratings though, so i’m going to look into this one more) from www.addthis.com, but it doesn’t seem to be doing much for us anyway.

@Chris Ledden, you say that the addthis function doesn’t do much for you anyway.

Would you maybe share some more about the experiences you have regarding this subject? Maybe some conversion rates, other data or lessons.

You can also use www.sharethis.com.

We’ve only just started using this so I don’t have any hard data at the moment but it’s another option that makes it easy for customers to share the ‘experience’.

We moved from AddThis to ShareThis and we like the 2nd option much better. They are both good though.

We would like to use these features.  We are very new to HTML, CSS, etc. and are making our way through our new site.  How do we add such a feature such as sharethis or addthis?
