Adding New Links List - Design Page Doesn't Exist

by ecstewart - Member - 02:39PM, Jul 01, 2008

I’m attempting to add a new links list and I’m doing this under Shop/Navigation.

When I click to add, I get a message that reads:

When you create a new link list, it will not show up automatically unless the theme you are using includes it. In order to get this link list to show up on your shop's pages you will need to modify your templates in the Look & Feel section.

Fine. Then I click the link “Look & Feel” to reveal the section, I get an error box that reads:

The page you were looking for does not exist...

Maybe you want to try the search instead?

Why is it so difficult to find the design page that supposed to make my life easier?

I’m seriously frustrated by this whole endeavor because I cannot seem to get out of the gate (as it were).

Hey Lisa, I was about to report that bug…

There was a change in the Admin pages, and not everything has been updated. There’s no such thing as a Look & Feel section anymore. This section has been renamed to Assets. The link is:

http://YOUR_STORE_NAME.myshopify.com/admin/assets

You can edit your theme’s templates there.

So YES, that’s a bug.

It looks that post was moved from the Bug Reports forum. Why?

It really is a bug. Maybe I am mistaken.
