add variants to cart

i’m dying here. i spent hours flipping thru everyone’s comments about this but i have smoke coming out of my nose and ears now….need my size & colour drop downs to add to cart…HEELLLLP

Hi,

Each of your drop downs has a unique ID right. So put a listener on the add to cart button (hint: there might already be one) and save the drop down values for the product in a cookie keyed to the ID of the product. When you show the item in the cart, you can then retrieve the settings and display them. Before you submit the cart, read the same values and assign them to a hidden cart attribute field so you can see the selections with the order.

what you said sounds good but i still have no clue. i am not a web designer- html codes, cookies, tags, attribute fields, all these terms just fly over my head. are you for hire? or someone who can manually correct this for me?

shopify is more complicated than i imagined
