Linking to Uploaded File

I’ve just uploaded a pdf file – first as an asset and then as a file and I cannot find the path for where the file winds up. Where does it go?

I’ve tried the usual suspects i.e my shop/static/files and assets/ and I just keep getting 404s.

There must be an easy way to find this out? Help!

I want to link to the pdf from a page so that people can download it but I need to know where/how to link to it?

Sorry if this seems basic – but the file isn’t showing up in the usual place so I’m rather stumped!

If you go to assets and then to uploaded file, click on the pdf file and you should see some information(file size) of it to the left. Right-click the link that says “show original” and depending on your browser select “copy link” or “copy link location”.
Good that you’re bringing it up: we should make that more obvious.
