Is it planned a feature to batch import product data and images trough a plain text file (.CSV, .TXT, etc.)? If you have half a dozen products introducing one-by-one isn’t a problem, but if have dozens or hundreds of products, one-by-one is a real pain… tkx |

yeah i’m quite anxious for this as well. Other then the absence of this feature Shopify has everything i need. Is there an approximate timeline you could give us?

We’re trying to get the API finished and released ASAP. Sorry we don’t have a timeline for you, but it is over 90% complete. ---

Even a way to download all your products into a spreadsheet and upload them again or something. At the beginning of each year, my supplier changes the prices, and I have to manually enter in each new price. This is very time consuming, where as if I could just update the spreadsheet, that would be a miracle

Isn’t there a database behind Shopify that products, collections, etc. are stored in. Can it really take almost 2 years to write a batch import routine? Maybe the market is just too nice to JP and you don’t have to compete to get customers. My hope was that in this day of agile development, the Shopify experience would be kinder than in old days of slow product development. Rant aside, is there a release date planned for this important feature. Or, should I keep looking for the store that meets my needs?

No product import?? That makes Shopify a non-starter.

We are currently working on the bulk import/export feature. Hopefully it will be ready this month. rellis, if you want to know what we’ve been working on you can click the Changelog link at the bottom of the Shopify admin. ---
