Is it possible to edit the temlate used when you select the ‘email buyer’ option in the order overview? We want to change the default info which is inserted. |

I would second this. Mainly for me its the signature of the email. I have change it every time I send one out. Email templates would also be a great addition to this area of the admin.

bump I will like to repeat the request for: ... being able to customize the ‘Email Buyer’ to add a template or save a default message. After I send a package to my buyer, I would like to just go to this with my template “Hi, Your item has been shipped” etc etc. Better yet, add another link exactly like ‘Email Buyer’, but have it say ‘Send Shipped Confirmation’ with our default message. [Yes, I have already a copy&paste method to where I send my buyers a sent confirmation. I just think implementing this, would make things much quicker.] A year+ later since this was requested, are there any updates as to whether we can do this. I know there were other requests for this in other posts. ---

Bump. Agreed. I spend more time answering and defending why my system (shopify) doesn’t automatically send emails that an order is shipped. I can’t count the number of times it has been suggested I get a ‘real’ cart system with tracking information, login ability and shipping estimation and confirmations. Customer words, not mine. Food for thought. ---

Completely agree with the above. Was just looking for this in the admin area – because surely that would be a feature. I am surprised it has not been added since it seems that it should be an easy thing to implement. Why is there no feedback from Shopify saying – good idea we will add it — no problem. To be able to customize a template and have it as an easy click option would be perfect. Shopify Team – can you add this feature soon? This is a Must have.

Another small request for the email buyer feature: I would like to see the emails archived in Shopify. Shopify makes a mention that the email was sent in the “Order History” section, but inexplicably doesn’t have a link to this. If you are dealing with a customer it is fantastic to know exactly what was said to them.

Do you seasoned shopify users just send your shipping confirmation email and tracking numbers from the UPS (or other shipper) interface when you get to that point in the game instead of using the the “email buyer” option in shopify? I now feel that this may be the way to go. Let me know what you think.

We manually copy in the details through “email buyer”. I would love for Shopify to send emails out when you click accept payment and ship to customers. Or if that is too hard I would love to have webhooks get fired when you click those buttons, and then you can hack up your own emails.

Yes this is much needed. If we could at least pull the shipping tracking info and/or order details in dynamically into the email buyer form (like in the new order confirmation) I could “copy and paste” a template. Right now I have to create every shipping confirmation email by hand….very annoying. Any progress on this feature? Kaushal ---

I am glad this has been finally implemented. Thanks! How about a template for abandoned orders? Maybe it’s just me though, but I would like to send a message like… why they cancelled and if they had problems with checkout, etc… message to be able to convert the abandoned order to a sale. ---
