Want additional functionality for your Shopify store?

If you’re running a Shopify store and want a feature that doesn’t exist in Shopify yet, your in luck. Shopify just released a API, which means that 3rd party programmers (like me) can add functionality to Shopify in an easy and convenient manner. The first programming language they have provided an interface for is Ruby on Rails, and I’m a Rails ninja. I have 3 years of Rails experience, including programing a Rails based e-commerce site from the ground up.

If you’re interested in adding functionality to your Shopify store, I can be reached at linuxdan@gmail.com Let me know what you want done and I’ll give you a quote.

Ummm… not to nitpick with ya… but just to clarify… the API allows you to trick out a Store in any decent programming language. You can use Perl, Basic, Python, PHP or even Fortran if you’re so inclined.

Ruby on Rails abilities won’t help most people out as much as Javascript will, since the client experience is almost all about the User Interface.

Anyway… good luck linuxdan… hopefully you can find some clients with a decent budget to challenge your ninja-ness.
