international shipping

Hi, I just got an email from a customer who wants to buy a few things from my store, but lives in Canada, and was unable to complete the transaction because there was no international shipping option. I tried to add one through preferences but there is only a United States option. Any advice? Thanks!

Did you try both

That did the trick! Thanks Richard.

I just had to add a country to support in the “regions and taxes” section and then go over to shipping and create some shipping options for Canada.

I’m using Bongo (www.bongous.com) for a site I had before I started using shopify. I bet it’d be a cakewalk to use it here too. It’s a good option if you don’t want to handle the international shipping yourself.

I use another mail forwarding service, http://www.usamail1.com
I found their shipping rates to be better than the other mail forwarding services. What I really like about their service, is they allow me to pay with my Paypal account, and in addition to all of the major carriers like UPS, Fedex, and DHL, they allow me to ship via the US Postal Service, which often saves me on customs fees
