Yahoo Domain Problemby Blakelyn's Boutique - Member - 05:07PM, Aug 16, 2006 |

I don’t know if anyone here will know how to solve this problem, but I’m having a domain problem. I purchased my domain through Yahoo Business, and for some odd reason, I can’t change the DNS settings for “blakelynsboutique.com”. So if people type that into their address bar, they get the generic page that I initially put up through Yahoo, and not my store. Is anyone else using yahoo domains, and if so, do you know how to resolve this? |

No idea how to resovle this with Yahoo Domains, but if you can’t find a fix drop me an email. I’ve got a server which I rent through Donhost.co.uk, so you could transfer your domain across to me and I’ll hapily point the name anywhere you want, pro bono. HTH ---

OK, I think I’ve fixed it by using their forwarding feature. I’ll keep you in mind once my year runs out via Yahoo :)

I have two stores in beta that are set up using yahoo domains. The View/Edit Domain Forward option in your Domain Control Panel is the simplest way. Through Manage Advanced DNS Settings, you can change your CName settings fairly easily as well. It worked for me!! shop.ipdataservices.com

Ipds, My domain name is registered with yahoo and I forwarded it to my shopify site. But how do I get the “myshopify” out of the url without masking it?
