I have tried for the last 2 days to log onto paypal i dont even get as far as loging in all i get is “waiting for paypal objects” anybody else having this problem. It’s so annoying i have things to pay for and i cannot even access paypal to ask them if there is a problem. Any ideas would be greatfully accepted. |

It’s been working fine for me. Maybe you could try calling them in the morning. This is the number I use: 866-837-1851 (Pro Merchant Support). They ask for your temporary web pin, but I think if you just wait on the line they’ll eventually forward you somewhere. Hope this helps. Btw…did you try it in different browsers? Kaushal ---

@ gillian: Double check you are logging to https://www.paypal.com/ and try a different computer. From what you describe, it sounds like a phishing/scam website to get your login details (or possibly spyware/trojans on your computer). For paypal to not work for 2 days seems unlikely unless you don’t know what your login details are. I could be wrong, but I would make sure first by trying to logon with a different computer. ---

This is not a scam / phishing thing. I have been onto paypal for around 6 hours about this problem and they just say ‘change your buttons’ or ‘use send money’. They don’t understand what the problem is. Everytime I use ebay to pay my monthly fees, or click ‘contact us’ on paypal, or use a cart button on any paypal integrated site the browser [ ff3 on mac osx / IE7 on windows] hangs on the paypalobjects screen. Paypal objects is a site owned by Paypal that stores there images etc, so no scam. Not everyone is having this problem, but for the few who are it’s really annoying, especially as PP customer service is seemingly non existent! If anyone does find a fix for this please post it here. As time goes on there are more and more posts online about this problem, hopefuly this will come up on google when people search so we can have one forum for the problem, rather than it being spread all over the net! Out of interest, who is your ISP? We use BT and I wondered whether it was a connection problem at one point – I don’t think so though. PS deleting cookies / cache / restarting doesn’t work! — Last edited 09:44AM, Jul 04, 2008 |
