Any of you shopify hackers out there know of a way to use a webhook to change the inventory level of a certain product?

I need to parse a tab delimited file that contains inventory levels at my order fulfillment service and use it to update my inventory levels on shopify.

I’m guessing this will become easier with the ever elusive api?
