Personally I like to use http://zoho.com

Their database creator is really sweet. I use it for businesses that need to upload businesses or logos.

Besides sending the inputed info via email, it can also be exported later by excel or pdf.

Zoho actually has a lot of really great tools for free.

Here is an example of one used in Shopify.

I use JotForm as well, it is superb. The good news is – it is free if u receive less than 100 enquiries per month.

If anyone else is in the same boat, the reason was:

I had messed around with my tax setup, which caused my shipping rates to be deleted.

Hi everyone

I’m in the process of setting up my Shopify store at http://shop.scratchwraps.com
and I am having issues with Google Checkout. I’ve signed up, set the options in Shopify but when I checkout via GC I get the error message (on the Google page) “ScratchWraps does not deliver to this address via Google Checkout”. I’m a UK address and that when trying to pay with a UK Google Checkout acount.

I’m sure its something obvious but I cant find it!

Can anyone help?

Regarding Forms, I have been very happy with www.Formlogix.com. You can easily and fully customize a form and paste the automatically generated code into your Shopify page. The cost for me is about a $1 a month. You can check out one of my contact forms here…

Regarding hiring someone for customizing your site, I can tell you that about a year ago, I had no idea how to do HTML and did not know what CSS was. I didn’t hire anyone though, I did a lot of searches on google for tutorials and chipped away at my ignorance regarding web design and in less than 4 months, I had fully designed http://www.canvastree.com. Earlier this year, I built http://www.customframesolutions.com in a little over a month.

I’m a big fan of learning how to do things yourself. I do draw the line though at certain things like javascript coding for enhanced customization as you can see on the product pages of the Custom Frame Solutions site. For that I went with HunkyBill, who did a ton of work in about a day and a half.

If you are handy with javascript, you could add a country or regional selection to the cart form, then use some Javascript validation on the products in the cart to apply a surcharge or restrict products.

Yeah, I am sorry. I assumeD it can/could be done. If you tried the shipping way already, then I believe you… it may not be possible.

I am helping a client complete his shopify store and the dreaded “shipping question” has been asked.

Here’s the problem. His store (www.aplusenv.com) has 250+ safety and industrial type products; some large, some small, some light (under a pound) and some heavy (over 200 lbs).

He wants to use UPS for most shipping. However, there are items – large, bulky or heavy things – that must be shipped by freight (not UPS). In addition, he offers local delivery within 50-60 miles of his location.

I have studied the existing Shopify weight and price based shipping options and believe they would work some of the time. But, what about high-value items that don’t weigh much (a 6-lb $5500.00 infrared camera) or how do we handle low value but heavy items (like a 100’roll of plastic sheeting that costs $22 and weighs 40-lbs)?

Does anyone have any experience with the shipping problems such product diversity creates? Please help. Any suggestions, ideas, guidance would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
